We had breakfast in the hotel and then headed back up to the room to finish packing. Our taxi arrived at 10:30 for our ride to the airport. We ran into quite a bit of traffic. However, we didn’t arrive much later than planned. Got checked in and through security.
Mary bought a sandwich in one of the shops in the airport…a
baguette with ham, cheese and butter.
These sandwiches are an iconic Parisian sandwich, and she hadn’t managed
to get one while in Paris. It probably
not as good as something she could have gotten at a street vendor in Paris but
it satisfied the craving.
The flight to Porto, Portugal was uneventful. Sorry to leave Paris but we are looking
forward to our first trip to Portugal.
